Donut and Coke Bottle Challenge-- Hint #4
Hint #4 in the Donut and Coke Bottle Challenge: Studying astronomical phenomena is certainly fun in all it's technocolor/political/religious driven drama, but the end game here is the metaphysical state of things and not the actual state. And yet the study of the astronomical is necessary to understand how this riddle explains the fundamental state of our being alive.
The All can only work with the language constructs we know how to use and so he gives us images and comparable words to help us unravel and ponder these ideas in our mind. Our human brains can only comprehend a certain 'size' of things before we start twitching and seizing in our confusion. We literally cannot comprehend how vast the universe could possibly be. We can imagine the size of a galaxy, alright. Yes, we can put a quantitative value as to the number of stars and planets a galaxy can hold. But the universe?!! We can't hold that big of a number in our mind. It makes our brain stutter and shut down.
Don't get hung up on the 'donut' and the 'soda bottle' as actual items. Remember that they are merely props to get you from Point A to Point B.
The universe is vast, winding, and moving in strange ways. Is that a heartbeat I hear? How many? And is it really a heartbeat or is it something else?
As a young child I had a much simpler version of this metaphysical phenomena which was shown to me. Very bizarre and much less eloquent than the donut and soda bottle. This first vision of the phenomena made me very uncomfortable; like I was too tight in my own skin. It was this: A pot of overflowing oatmeal. It just kept coming out and spilling over the sides with no ending. (I guess it didn't help that I really hated oatmeal as a kid. lol) Only now, over twenty-five years later did I recognized the vision for what it has become-- the donut and the soda bottle! It metamorphosed over the years; baby steps, leading up to what has become the final image I see today.

Angel, Its the mistake of continued materialist thinking that drives one to giddiness contemplating the size of the universe and a sort of resignation and hopelessness and inadequacy. This is because the person compares everything to their own physical size. Eg the thinker is 5 feet tall and Saturn is 9 trillion miles away. Therefore he is insignificant in a hopeless position. Thinking stops. The mistake is the physical comparison. Body is only a suit you are wearing temporarily for modesty purposes in the physical plane.Quote from Robert Monroe ace OBE man he said he worked to overcome our greatest illusion, which is that we have limitations.
So we don't let a physical comparison stymie our thinking.
Robert Monroe travelled millions of miles in a flash.He never used phrases like Oh its a long long way somewhere. In the spiritual realm there is no distance. Hence no size comparisons. I noted numerous skeptics daunted by astronomical distances voiced by Carl Sagan to the point of despair and trauma and bitterness.I made a video urging them to switch off Carl Sagan LOL, and stop using comparative physical measurements, like bigness and smallness.
Hope I havent messed up your lovely piece there.Was enjoying the reading of it. What can you tell us about Hermes Trismegisticus. I know he invented the ancient phrase Hu-man being, HU meaning God. What about historic timeslots, what country etc ?
Oh dear. No, the riddle is not concerning the actual numbers involved or the actual anomaly in astrophysics, but the 'likeness' of such a thing to a gnostic concept of the universe's 'mind' AKA the All, pleroma, Big Daddy, Whispers-In-My-Ear, etc.
Have I confused anyone else?

Let me be clear: This riddle's answer has nothing to do with actual space/time.

This is a spiritual construct which we exist within but BECAUSE we exist within it we cannot grasp it with our mind without help from him to show us.
I can attest that to contemplate such astronomical numbers and phenomena in our universe can drive someone to both extremes of giddiness and despair. You're right. I agree. Been there myself. I AM there(giddy) when thinking about this particular riddle's answer.
About the traveling so many millions of miles within the mind? That is the birthright of every sentient being who is connect to the All. Does it mean that we're all ready for it? No. It depends on where we are in our evolution. And that's another hint for the riddle right there. How close are we to him? How far away? We have to make that determination in order to see our self in his organized body.
Looking within or without in a gnostically aware way is risky business if you shut yourself off from other aspects of life going on around you. Teetering on the edge of true despair because then you don't see a point in living at all. I've been there too. It's a balancing act. Just like life was before gnosis was found. The only difference is that we have a responsibility to not turn away and not because of being threatened with hellfire and damnation(what a joke) but we have a moral obligation to ourselves for our own soul's evolution.
This visualization of the gnostic universe brings me more joy that I can even express.
I'll write an article about Hermes Trismegistos. Very complicated guy. Or guyS depending on the lore you read.
